That 70's Vibe.

The 70's seems to be this seasons reference point. After drooling over the Chloe ss15 collection, which has been in part, inspired by the genre, I can honestly say I am on board. I was actually quite shocked how many pieces I already had in my wardrobe that lend themselves to the era. I think if anything it just proves you should buy items you like not just because they are 'on trend'. For me, the key to this trend is trying not to look like you are going to a fancy dress party. I would try to keep things simple, for example: Have one key piece from the trend, i.e a coat, or if your not sure you want to invest in a coat try the use of fabrics, which is exactly what Chloe has done with their use of suede and denim. Now, real suede items can be expensive so get thrifty. Think charity shops, vintage stores and Ebay. For today's outfit I have added a hint of the 70's with a pussy bow chiffon dress and over the knee boots in a light grey as I think it softens the look. Let me know what you think.
