There is only one designer brand that is currently killing it for me and if you haven't guessed by the title of this post it's GUCCI! The excess, the colours, the textures and the clashing! It is just what my eye's and fashion soul needed after months of 'normcore'. Don't get me wrong, I will never ever be bored of simplicity but there are only so many times you can see the same thing on your instagram feed. I think one of the other reason I love GUCCI so much at the moment is because it sort of feels like the clothes would be worn by an eccentric aunt or grandmother and all that eccentricity feels very cool and very British. I imagine that's probably why the brand held their pre-spring/summer 2017 show in London at Westminster Abbey. So how does GUCCI relate to this simple outfit I am wearing today? Well, my simple answer is, you don't have to be a fashion victim to follow a trend. And by that I mean there are certain elements that I also wouldn't wear, so for me, it's about picking out the styles I like, be it, fabric, pattern or cut. In this case, I love the GUCCI Dionysus bag with the floral embroidery and that lead me to this dress a simple nod without looking like the aforementioned aunt. Although if I could afford to dress like the above mentioned aunt I would!
