Does size matter?

Does size matter? I am talking about my micro clutch in case your mind drifted to... lets not go there. In the case of the micro clutch, I love it and I loath it, which is sort of like my feelings on tights and shorts but I will save that rant for another post. The whole concept of the micro clutch is a total contradiction, because when I argue my points against it they are often the reasons why I love it. For example; I can only fit my phone, keys and credit card in it. But on the other hand, that's all I need. Its small enough to get lost easily, however, it has a wrist strap so will never not be on my persons. It is too small to add any drama to my outfit, however, it is small enough to make a statement. I could go on and talk myself in and out of love with this item. One thing is for sure, it is more of an occasional bag for me... as in the odd occasion I don't need my diary or car keys or lipstick or any other secrets I keep in my bag, it really is like Mary Poppins' canvas bag sometimes. Saying this, I have noticed a few micro clutches making appearances at this seasons fashion weeks. Maybe I am missing a trick and most people have a bigger bag waiting off camera and a chauffeur driven car to take them to their next destination. One thing I will say about the Micro clutch is, it is sort of like a hat, great with some outfits, but not something you would wear with everything.
So today was an occasion I decided to go minimalistic on the bag front. To add a juxtaposition to my clutch I worked the oversized trend. What do you think about the micro-clutch? Or is it an impractical trend too far?

Camouflage

One trend I absolutely love this season is camouflage. And if I could afford the whole Whistles collection I would snap it up straight away... especially the parka. Unfortunately for me, it looks like others have had the same idea and snapped the parka up before I even had the chance to click the 'add to cart' button. In the mean time I have been trolling the internet for a camouflage alternative to quench my thirst, and much to my delight, ASOS have provided that much needed drink. After searching the websites many options, I decided to go with a dress, due to fact that I can layer it under jumpers and style it many different ways, which is perfect for the coming winter months. The dress itself hangs loose, think/Google Victoria Beckham's s/s 14 grey peplum dress and you get the idea. If your not to sure on the fit, but you like the dress, I would suggest going for a size smaller than you usually buy. For the rest of the outfit I simply added some black ankle boots which are from... PRIMARK. I write it bold because, up until recently I was one of those poor souls who was inflicted with 'Neverfindanythinginthereitis'. Literally, I would come out with a pair of socks and that would be it. So I was pleasantly surprised when I found something I like in my size and for just 18 pounds... such a bargain.

Magazine Feature

I cannot believe I have been featured again in Look Magazine and in there Huge Fashion issue!! Even though they have said I am 25 when I in fact I am 24. Maybe they are dropping a subtle hint and I need to buy some better moisturiser or invest in bigger sunglasses. Oh well, its still a privilege to be featured. Thank you Look Magazine.

Last of the Summer Wine

Contrary to the post title I am not talking about the British sitcom involving old men. I am more using the title to illustrate the fact that I will be taking these last few opportunities to bare my legs as much as possible... Well, before they grow their winter coat! Come on we are all guilty of it, especially with tights to cover up the evidence. Just think of it as an extra thermal layer. I think I am trying to hard to convince myself that other people do this... Oh well. So, if you hear on the news in the winter months that a Yetee has been spotted you know were to look. Okay, I think I'm exaggerating, its only a bit of hair on my legs!!  Maybe I should have called this post 'the extra winter coat'?

The Flats Appeal

This isn't a new trend, but any trend that allows me to wear trainers with practically anything has got my approval. Although you have to be careful not to look like Lily Allen circa 2008, actually scratch that, I just Youtubed her old videos and I wouldn't mind dressing in some of those outfits. What do you think of the trend?
