ASOS Fashion Finder: Blogger Style Challenge

I was recently contacted by the guys at ASOS fashion finder with a challenge. Reading that back it sounds a little ominous! Don't worry, it was a challenge of the fun variety... To style the pictured Glamorous sequin skirt in 5 different ways. So, as we are getting towards the Christmas party season I decided to style the skirt taking that into account. In fact, ASOS shouldn't have really called this a challenge because the the only thing I struggled with was only styling 5 outfits using this skirt. I mean, I could have gone on, which is great because it means the skirt will be getting a lot of use. A simple Easter outfit with a splash of colour. The jumper I am wearing is from a charity shop, but the fit was a little off, so I decided to cut it into a crop. I do love finding bargains especially in thrift stores, I sort of feel like I have achieved a little more than when I am just looking through a high-street shop sales. I think its probably because you are never guaranteed to find anything on trend, and for me, because it has been previously loved, I don't seem to mind so much taking a pair of scissors to it! New clothes however, are a different story and I cannot quite bring myself to hack at them, whether in the sale or not. I know this is probably because I liked the item enough to buy it as it was. There is however, one downside to buying charity shop clothes... The smell. I think I had to hand wash this jumper about five times before it stopped smelling of roast dinners and bingo halls.

When words elude me all I can simply type is OOTD. Although... I bet you all thought you had been let off then. This dress is something I bought to wear in summer, however I never got round to it... Okay, okay I forgot I had it, but to wear it in winter I simply layered with a Jumper and jacket and I was good to go.

Contrary to the post title I am not talking about the British sitcom involving old men. I am more using the title to illustrate the fact that I will be taking these last few opportunities to bare my legs as much as possible... Well, before they grow their winter coat! Come on we are all guilty of it, especially with tights to cover up the evidence. Just think of it as an extra thermal layer. I think I am trying to hard to convince myself that other people do this... Oh well. So, if you hear on the news in the winter months that a Yetee has been spotted you know were to look. Okay, I think I'm exaggerating, its only a bit of hair on my legs!!  Maybe I should have called this post 'the extra winter coat'?

Painter and Decorator

Last night I decided to wear my favourite painter and decorator outfit (I mean overalls)and headed out for cocktails with my girlfriends. I honestly could wear my overalls all the time they are so versatile. I have to rein myself in when I'm shopping so I don't buy any more. Seriously, I would be walking around like an adult baby 24/7.
