Pay Day Wish List

When I started this post I didn't mean for it to be wholly made up of items from River Island, but they are really nailing it this month! Oh, and incase your wondering, no, it is not a sponsored post. Now to the nitty gritty. I absolutely adore the pink faux fur jacket and currently it's the best I have seen on the high-street that isn't ridiculously priced and the monster bag is ahhmazing. I think I will have to take a trip to store and check out the size before I purchase because I pretty much carry everything and the kitchen sink in my bag, so size in this case, does matter. The jumper is a close version of the Bella freud knitwear and the skirt reminds me of The kooples, infact, I think all the items I have listed come to less then what you would pay for a Kooples skirt. If thats not an excuse to buy it all then I don't know what is!

Saturday Outfit Inspo

Elbow

Print was definitely needed today to pick me up from a mid-week slump and I find the easiest way to do this, especially when I have to get ready quick, is sticking to one block piece of pattern. Also, when I am that busy in the morning that I forget to turn my straighteners off (it happened on Monday), a hat is definitely a must, and probably more for the fire safety in my case! Although I enjoy wearing hats, in general I think Fedora's are up there (don't ask where there is, but its good, almost on par with love, but we all know that the word love is a very over used in blogging so I'm going to use there and now I have started rambling... 1,2,3... and I am back in the post)!  I feel Fedora's add a certain amount of sophistication to an outfit, this is probably due to the structure, beanies just feel casual, because, well, they're slouchy and lack structure. Dress any outfit with a beanie and it feels causal, you can put all the net you want at the front and pretend its a fascinator, but its still essentially a beanie! The hat I am wearing today is from Ark and, like I have mentioned in a previous post here its a real bargain and you will probably be seeing it a lot more, especially as we get closer to summer.
Also, I apologize for the cropped pictures. My mum took them for me and it would appear she is a cliche parent and is unable to use a camera. Honestly in some of the pictures I am not sure if she was trying to drop hints that she was bored or that I don't photograph well, as they were mainly of the wall behind me and when I say mainly, you can literally only see my elbow... I always knew it was my best feature.

Guilty Pleasure

Guilty pleasure... no I haven't been reading Fifty shades again. I have been shopping in the brand new, and biggest, European Topshop outside of London. By now you should know were I'm going with this! The new Topshop was originally opened by Pixie Geldof playing a 'dj set' (quotation marks needed as pressing play on a CD does not count!) on the Thursday. However, myself and my mum decided to wake up early and have a proper look around on the Saturday instead. The layout in the new Leeds Topshop is deceiving (in a good way). At one point I thought they were creating some sort of mirror illusion because it seemed to go on and on, but after further investigation and much to my surprise I discovered it actually went, on and on. As well as a new dedicated make up section and extensive stock (updated daily), they have a personal shopping service, which is fine but its not for me. I always feel a bit funny about someone telling me what to wear, my style is a strong part of my identity as with most people. I'm also really suspicious that they don't care what looks good on you, but instead they are just given a certain product and told to sell, sell, sell, blah, blah, blah! So my final purchases consisted of two pairs of shoes and a pinafore dress, I probably should add now that I only went to look and the result of these purchases has left a guilt feeling in my belly. Hopefully, this wont last to long as it is pay day soon!! 'Hmm I wonder what can I buy next (looks intensely into the distance/Topshop website)?'. I have also included the pictures of what I wore to go shopping in.
