Gone have the days were that washed out grey'ish comfy bra was fine, now, more than ever, the bra or the bralette is queen, especially when it comes to giving an outfit a certain 'je ne sais quoi'. Now don't panic, I am not saying that you need to go all Mean Girls on me and cut holes in your tops like Regina George but it is definitely a subtle way of adding detail to an outfit. So when Boohoo.com got in touch with me and asked if I would style one of their bra's from their lingerie range showcasing the trend or the aptly named 'peek-a-boohoo' trend I was firstly bloody thrilled with that pun and secondly intrigued. Before agreeing, I naturally did a spot of research i.e. had a good look on their website lingerie page you can do some 'research' here and I must say I was pleasantly surprised, not only by the choice, but also by the price! Okay, so after doing some 'research' or basically making a mental checklist of everything that needed to be in my life/underwear draw the challenge began...
Calling it a challenge is a bit of a stretch, because I love the idea of subtly adding another layer or dimension to your outfit from something so functional as a bra. In fact, worn with certain outfits it becomes both functional and a sort of accessory, eradicating the need for a necklace or fuss. When deciding how to style this bra I thought the most obvious would be an evening outfit and so I decided to show you guys how you could style the accessory you have been wearing for years in a more casual way - one thats actually wearable and subtle. Luckily, Boohoo.com also had me covered in that department and I went for this beautiful oversized knit, which actually was advertised as a dress, but it works perfect both ways and then some kick flare jeans which fit like a dream (all linked below guys)! I hope you enjoy this post, it would be great to hear your thoughts in the comment box below. If you liked this post then maybe check out my latest 'how to style' post here.
**Just so you know**
All the Boohoo.com items in this post have been gifted, however, I would never review or put anything on my blog that I wouldn't wear/buy myself.
