Normcore move over at the moment I am all about giving my basics a zing with costume jewellery. I feel like recently I have been neglecting my neck area and opting for simplicity which has worked well in past seasons, but now I think I am over it! I need something impressive hanging around my neck… I need BLING!

When it comes to costume jewellery I am like a magpie, take me to any vintage fair and I will scout out the shiniest most ostentatious pieces. This means I have quite an eclectic mix at home which makes it more fun to layer and create your own huge neck braking statement necklace.

When the guys at 852 London contacted me about there amazing jewellery collection I almost felt they had been reading my mind and when they asked if I would like to take part in a blogger style challenge I jumped at the chance! The challenge was to take one of the 852 London pieces and style it for the weekend. Well, after looking through their website I decided on a statement necklace that would look perfect on its own or mixed with my existing pieces! The necklace I picked reminded me of something Victorian that you could probably find at a vintage fair. Oh, and it was sparkly, which always helps!!

To style the outfit I decided to mix my D.I.Y Levi jeans with an oversized tweed blazer from Zara and to add some print, my leopard flats from Office.The thought process behind my  outfit was that I wanted to show you that sometimes mixing different occasion pieces can really work, from my basic Levi Jeans to the lovely 852 London necklace.
